Verdensteatret was founded in 1986, in Oslo, Norway, and is led by Lisbeth J.Bodd and Asle Nilsen.

Verdensteateret works collaboratively, gathering artists from different art pratices to create stage productions and other related projects which have been performed both in Norway and other European countries. Each production develops like root systems, forming many branches.The projects become entangled with each other and manifest themselves in new forms.
